Vipers Wadri ruled out of Enyimba tie

By Our Reporter
UGANDAN side, Viper SC will be without William Wadri in their CAF Champions League return leg tie against Enyimba FC of Aba on Sunday, NaijaSportsXtra can report.
The midfielder suffered an injury and will need time to recover.
“It is unfortunate that Wadri will not be traveling but we have able replacements that we believe will play his role,” Nsimbe said on the club's website.
Wadri whose strength lies in passing, calculated offensive runs and creativity has been in fine form since joining Vipers last year from KCCA FC. He will be replaced by towering forward Alfred Leku who has been impressive in the training sessions.
Wadri joins Shafik Bakaki, Saddam Juma and Duncan Senindde who will not make the traveling contingent to Wet Africa.
However the good news is the timely return of midfielder Siraj Sentamu who overcame an injury that sidelined him from playing the first leg.
Meanwhile, Vipers players entered residential camp on Tuesday in Kitende and will continue having double training sessions before they fly out later this week to Nigeria.
Vipers who won the 1st leg by a lone will hope to shock the Peoples Elephants in Port-Harcourt.
The winner of the tie will go on to face the winner between Lioli FC of Lesotho and Burundi’s Vital’O in the first round in March.
