FIFA RANKING: Eagles still out of Africa's top 10 best teams

NIGERIA'S Super Eagles is still out of Africa's top 10 best teams after the World football governing body, FIFA published its latest ranking of National Teams today (Thursday), reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
Despite the good result it recorded on match day 1 of the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Zambia's Chipolopolo in Ndola, Nigeria only managed to climb four places, and now occupy the 60th position with 567points as against 565 recorded in last month's ranking.
Nigeria is now 11th  in the continental ranking, as Ivory Coast, Senegal, Algeria, Tunisia and Ghana are the top five teams in Africa.  Egypt, Congo DR, Congo, Mali and Cameroon make up the top 10.
South American giants, Argentina retained their position as the best country followed by Germany, Brazil, Belgium and Colombia while Spain, who beat Belgium in a friendly last month, are back in the top 10 while Euro 2016 sensations Wales slid one place to 11th.
The next ranking will be published by the official website of Fifa, fifa.com on 24th November, 2016.
